All Year Groups
Amnesty International Amnesty International is a human rights organisation that campaigns to raise awareness of issues that put human rights at risk. Our school Amnesty group meets every Wednesday lunchtime in B11 (History - Ms Scotland's room), and this year we are continuing our focus on the impact of climate change on human rights, amongst other issues. Everyone is welcome to attend from S1 to S6.
PUPIL COUNCIL There will be a pupil council meeting on Thursday 5th June, P2 in B11. Can the following pupils ensure they are in attendance? Fancy joining the Drama club? A meeting will be held in the drama studio (old fitness suite) Tuesday 3rd September at lunchtime by Miss Hynd. Come along, sign up and discuss a day for the club to be held.
Little Chef Calling budding chefs in S1 and S2. New 6 week cookery course starting week beginning 9.9.19 on Mondays/Wednesdays 3.45-4.15. See Mrs Malone or Miss Welsh for more details, limited spaces available.
S1 Scientists! Science Club will begin on Monday 2nd September in B8 at 1.30pm. This is an opportunity exclusively for S1 pupils where you will get the chance to carry out fun experiments and challenges that are not normally done during class time. All are welcome to come! Miss Baxter, Miss Histead and Miss Paterson :)
S1 Girls and their parents are invited to the Hockey Club registration meeting in the library 6:30-8pm on Monday (26th). No experience necessary. LONDON DRAMA TRIP All pupils who are attending the trip must come to a meeting in the new Drama studio on Thursday 5th September at 1:30pm. Attendance is a must.
National Healthcare Weekend - S3,4,5,6 Doctors, dentists and vets will provide invaluable insight and network with your students.
Day 1: Insight into Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary 14 unique talks for each specialty looking at experiences from A Levels, throughout university and leading to life as a fully qualified professional.
Day 2: Medicine only UCAS Lectures A full day of lectures covering work experience, personal statements, interview techniques etc, led by our team of doctors.
Venue and dates: University of Stirling on the 14th and 15th September, and the 2nd and 3rd of November 2019.
