If you are coming on the trip, please attend a short meeting in the Drama Studio at 1:30pm on Thursday 5 September.

Amnesty International 

Amnesty International is a human rights organisation that campaigns to raise awareness of issues that put human rights at risk. Our school Amnesty group meets every Wednesday lunchtime in B11 (History - Ms Scotland's room), and this year we are continuing our focus on the impact of climate change on human rights, amongst other issues. Everyone is welcome to attend from S1 to S6. 

 

PUPIL COUNCIL 

There will be a pupil council meeting on Thursday 5th September, P2 in B11. Can the following pupils ensure they are in attendance? If unable to attend please pass on apologies to either Alice Ferguson as Chairperson, Ms Scotland or Miss Baxter.

West Lothian Foodbank

Drama club will take place in the drama studio on a Tuesday after school from 3:45- 4:30pm and will start on the 10th September. Looking forward to seeing you all there !

Calling budding chefs in S1 and S2.   

New 6 week cookery course starting week beginning 9.9.19 on Mondays/Wednesdays 3.45-4.15.  See Mrs Malone or Miss Welsh for more details, limited spaces available.

F1 in Schools is recruiting for the development class team for next year for the 2019/2020 season.   

Do you want to work in a mini F1 Team where you design, test, make and race a miniature F1 car.  We need you if you want to be a designer, manufacturing engineer, want to be involved in marketing, fundraising or are a social medial guru!  

Come along if you want to take part.   Meeting in the Design Bay at 1:30 on Wednesday 11th September. 

 

LONDON DRAMA TRIP 

All pupils who are attending the trip must come to a meeting in the new Drama studio on Thursday 5th September at 1:30pm. Attendance is a must. 

 

National Healthcare Weekend - S3,4,5,6   

Doctors, dentists and vets will provide invaluable insight and network with your students. 

  

Day 1: Insight into Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary 

14 unique talks for each specialty looking at experiences from A Levels, throughout university and leading to life as a fully qualified professional. 

  

Day 2: Medicine only UCAS Lectures 

A full day of lectures covering work experience, personal statements, interview techniques etc, led by our team of doctors. 

  

Venue and dates: University of Stirling on the 14th and 15th September, and the 2nd and 3rd of November 2019.

A reminder that everyone going on the trip should hand in passports and EHIC cards to Ms Wright by this Friday 6th. There will also be a meeting on Monday 9th at 1.20pm in C8 - attendance is compulsory as important information will be given about the trip. Bring your lunch!

Rotary Challenge Enterprise 2019 

The Rotary Club of Linlithgow Grange are willing to sponsor 2 S5/6 students (Aged 16 or 17) to participate in the 'Challenge Enterprise 2019'. 

This is a residential weekend Programme organised by the Rotary International District 1020. It will be from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th October in Carronvale House, Larbert. 

You will gain an insight into various aspects of business and participate in a range of challenges during the course of the weekend. This opportunity will allow you to develop your confidence and gain valuable business knowledge and skills.   

If you are interested, come along and collect an information leaflet and application form from any Business Education member of staff. There is a rigorous selection procedure and written applications must be in by Friday 6th September. For further information see Mrs Sandhu or Mr Lawrie. 

Former Nat 5 and Higher Art & Design Pupils  

 

If you would like to request the return of your Art & Design portfolios from the SQA give your name and £5 to Miss Pantling in room C1 by Friday 6th September. Please be aware that portfolios not requested for return are destroyed and cannot be returned at a later date.
