PUPIL NEWS BULLETIN

All Year Groups 

Pupil Council Elections 

Elections for S1, S3 and S5 pupil council reps will take place in the foyer (next to front doors) on Friday 27th September at break time. 

We've have had unprecedented interest with pupils signing up this year to stand for election. This means you have more say in how the school is run because you will have a range of views to choose from.  

Do find time to talk to people who are standing for election and find out what they believe and what they plan to do.  

Don't forget to vote! 

 

SCHOOL SHOW  

For the first time in a number of years, Linlithgow Academy will stage a large scale musical in June 2020. This is an opportunity open to ALL pupils who wish to get involved either ONSTAGE as a performer, singer or dancer OR those who wish to be involved OFFSTAGE working on set painting, costume, make-up or front of house. There will be a meeting in the Hall in the coming weeks so keep your eye on the bulletin. 

 

MUSIC CAMP 

Could all pupils attending Music Camp please come to the Music Department during interval on Friday 27th September to sign up for room placements. Attendance is compulsory. 

 

Music Camp EE2 forms are now ready to collect from the Music Department windowsill. Please collect one and return it to a member of the Music Department ASAP. 

 

STONEWALL GROUP: Do you want to be a part of a group that meets to talk about inclusion, acceptance and spreading kindness? Then come along to the Stonewall Group on Tuesdays at lunch in A21 (Miss LeBlanc's room). We discuss LGBTQ+ issues and more. You do not need to identify as LGBTQ+ to come along, we welcome and encourage all allies to come along as well! If you would like any more info about the group, then please feel free to speak to Miss LeBlanc! 

 

West Lothian Foodbank 

  

We've nearly managed to fill our donation point already! Well done everyone! Our focus items for this week are:  

- Mugs Shots 

- Savoury Biscuits (crackers/oatcakes) 

- Tinned Tomatoes  

The collection point for donations is in the foyer next to the main entrance! 

S1 Pupils

S2 Pupils 

Active Girls Day is coming soon for all S2 girls! On Friday 4th October, all S2 girls will be taking part in a day of fun physical activities including Gymnastics, Rugby, Netball & Dance! The aim of the event is to promote enjoyment of physical activity in young girls. Look out for posters and activity timetables which will be posted up in the PE dept soon! 

S3 Pupils

The list of S3 Drama pupils who are attending the Lion King Trip is on the notice board inside the Drama Studio. Please check this as soon as you can.
