S1 Pupils

This year as well as senior teams, Linlithgow Academy will be entering a junior team into the F1 in Schools Competition, the largest STEM competition in the world with teams from India, Australia, USA and more taking part!!

F1 in Schools is the only global multi-disciplinary challenge in which teams of students deploy CAD/CAM software to collaborate, design, analyse, manufacture, test, and then race miniature compressed air powered cars made from F1 model block.

Teams must raise sponsorship and manage budgets to fund research, travel and accommodation and the challenge inspires students to use IT to learn about physics, aerodynamics, design, manufacture, branding, graphics, sponsorship, marketing, leadership/teamwork, media skills and financial strategy, and apply them in a practical, imaginative, competitive and exciting way!

If you are interested in finding out more and getting involved then come along to the CDT department Tuesday, at 1:30 to find out more. In the mean time if you have any questions speak with Mr Marshall or Mr Pollock in CDT.
